I used to carry diamond bead reamers. They were very popular, and then the manufacturer stopped making them. Many tears were shed, and I still get e-mail asking if I've found more. I believe I've found something better.
The BeaDreamer. Designed by Dave of Art in the Round, it's the bead reamer I'd want to design, but Dave has already done a better job that I could.
With a straight uncoated section, you won't scracth your bead if you miss the hole, and without a sharp point, you won't drill a hole in your hand. Don't laugh! I've heard of lampworkers doing this with diamond needle drills, and I've almost done it myself.
Then, there is the the groove... on all but the 1/16" version, there is a groove that allows the ground up bead release and glass to come out of the hole, meaning you can clean your beads much faster.
Yes, it is *alot* more expensive than the bead reamer I used to sell, but this reamer is harder to bend, works faster, is less likely to mar your beads, and due to the diamond coating and design should last longer. Dave's customers are seeing reamers last for *thousands* of beads.
