Baby Face Mold

Here is a baby face mold for your cutest beads. Heat one side of the bead till droopy and press in to form the baby face. You can place the mandrel hole top to bottom or side to side. This view shows a close up of a baby face made with the mold. The mold works best with opaque glass. The features are not very visible when transparent glass is used. Specifications: Molds are 1.5" high and 2" square. Makes baby faces about 3/4" tall. Please note, while aluminum's melting point is below that of glass, it conducts heat away from the glass so quickly that it does not melt. Skill Level: This mold is for the more advanced lampworker. It takes some heat management skills to keep the facial features sharply defined. Also, a bead made with this mold is on the large side. You will need a heat proof surface to use these on.
