Mini Melt Your Heart ^TM Mandrel

Use your heart as a pendant, earring or toggle, and this mandrel will Melt Your Heart TM, and your customers hearts! Like the regular sized heart, the mini is available in a "straight tip" or "necked tip" version. As these hearts are solid, it is easier to keep your glass at a constant temperature. The rod exends through the heart so you can place the heart on a kiln rest easily. Specifications: Made of stainless steel. The hearts are 1/2" tall and 1/2" across. 1/8" diameter handle, 11" long overall. The heart shaped portion is 3/4" long, allowing you to make your heart that deep. If you want bigger hearts, please check out the regular size Melt-Your-Heart (TM) Mandrels Skill Level: You should be able to make beads with the proper pucker easily, be able to lay down a straight line of glass, and manage glass temperature to prevent thermal cracks. You also need to be able to control the bead release thickness and evenness. Getting the bead release on right is a big part of using this mandrel.
