A new invention, requested by several lampworkers, the tee-hole mandrel allows
you to create a bead with a single side hole.
Now you can create the three holed beads used for power and prayer bracelets, or use it to suspend a focal bead from a necklace.
Just assemble the mandrel,
dip in standard bead release and get to work. After annealing, you can
soak it in water, and remove the cross piece. Then simply slide the
bead off the mandrel as normal.
Here is a view of the whole mandrel.
Specifications: Made of 1/8" diameter stainless steel. Will make beads up to 3" long by 1 3/4" across. Includes allen wrench and a spare bolt.
Customization Available: I can customize the main rod length and the location of the tee-hole assembly on the rod. For instance some beaders like to work in the middle of the rod so they can use both hands. I could also make a tee-hole mandrel with multiple side holes in different locations. For custom work, simply
send an email to get a quote.
Skill Level: You should be able to make beads with the proper pucker easily.
Availability: In stock.
