Bead Cap Mandrel

Bead caps help you frame focal beads and provide a way to merge many seed bead strands into one. These bead cap mandrels allow you to make them from glass yourself. Remarkably easy to use, just form a bead near the end of the ball next to the mandrel. Then heat and let the glass drape over the ball. See the directions for more details. Make sure to look at the new Diamond Bead Cap Cleaner for cleaning your bead caps. Available in 3/8" (9.5 mm), 7/16" (11 mm), 1/2" (12.5 mm) and 5/8" (16 mm) diameter balls. Inner diameter of finished beadcaps will be similarly sized. The ball is positioned 1" back from the end of the rod to allow you room to play. Specifications: All stainless steel construction. 3/32" diameter mandrels, roughly 11" overall in length. Skill Level: You should be able to make beads with the proper pucker easily.
